So...here's what I have to say folks.

Welcome to  "Pinoy Atheist in blabber mode".

The road has allot of obstacles. It’s not a clear road – where the traveler will encounter things that may even challenge his doubts. Chances are, he may even choose not to continue.
This is my adventure.

My journey towards atheism is not an easy travel. In each steps, I sometimes stumbled on uncharted roads, entered unfamiliar territories and face brutal foes. The foe is not easy…It’s God, or those who try to invent and propagate it.
Sometimes, in this adventure, I win, sometimes I learn.

I was born an atheist. THAT’S A FACT!
Until society taught me about Him. I was born in a Christian believing culture, so naturally, I become a Christian I eat like a Christian, talk like a Christian, think like a Christian.
Everything was going the usual Christian way until, something happened. The left side of my brain began to function.
It began in doubts. The doubts became philosophical questions. I began to question my beliefs, the Bible, and all those things that the priests and pastors have been telling me for so long.
Sermons became useless babbles; prayers became meaningless, repetitive mantras without sense.
I began to read books. Some of these books exposed what these “holy men” really want. POWER and WEALTH!
Money, Power – the same worldly things they preach their followers to shy away from.
HYPOCRITES!!!!
Money and power…I have been so naïve, so blind!
To have these things – they created this “god” to place fear on the hearts of men.
Fear to think.
Fear to reason.
Fear to scrutinize.
To fear the truth.
I saw the light. I’m enlightened.
I can now see through the fear and the ignorance. I saw that this god is nothing but a fat façade, an empty vessel, a philosophical absurdity, a logical fallacy.
It’s a long journey, but I find out I’m not alone on my travels. There are others.
And as I continue my travel on this perilous road , I smile and said to myself, “Alas, I am free.”
The journey continues.

St Therese of Lisieux: come out, atheists, and fight

18/09/2009 08:42
By Matthew Parris If I believed in a God, I would be thanking Him now for sending me a sign. In yesterday’s newspaper arrived a story to rekindle my atheism. Just when my disbelief was flagging — not for want of certainty but out of weariness with banging on — comes a report that energises me with...
